New- posters and prints!!

So, here's some incredibly groovful news-

I have finally found a company that is able to do really nice, high quality prints of the artwork.

Remember that video for "Kingdom Come" in which I used one of my pieces

"The Million Nightmare Manuscript part 1"?

Well, that piece of art, and others, are now available on my homepage (in the original size or a half size).

"The Million Nightmare Manuscript" is a 3

part picture (actually 4 but the 4th is still not finished) that can be put end on end to

re-create the whole piece, which is (at the moment) 240cm long and packed full of tiny details.

It was a bit of a chore to find a company that could make affordable and high quality prints of this work. The work is extremely detailed, ad so the print had to be of high enough quality to re-create the detail of the original work. I ordered a test print recently and I am chuffed to little mint balls (Google translate won't manage that so if you are not English that means- VERY PLEASED) with the result. The paper is lovely and thick and even the tiniest of detail is nice and clear.

This selection of work will be constantly updated so that new paintings and /or prints will be on the page as they are reproduced.

I really was genuinely pleased with the quality. I could only dream (years ago when I did the pictures) of a reproduction so crisp, the colours are beautifully recaptured, no discrepancy in the rendering of colour. The size is almost 80x60, which is the size of the original. That was important because I wanted to be able to offer a representation of the piece as it is, including size.

Of course, it would be cheaper to have them printed in bulk, but that isn't going to happen, so it's one print at a time and therefore more expensive, but they are really nice. A print is about 22 Euros with postage and packing for those in Germany. It will be dearer to the UK unfortunately. Also, this picture, in fact none of them, have ever been made into prints, so you will have a rarity, only one of very few in existence- so, there's that!

We have already started the video for Bittersweet ( I think I mentioned that in one of the last blogs) but it still has a fair way to go before it's finished. We are waiting for the perfect day of rain. We will get there and then that will be up on Youtube. I will warn you before hand though.

Also, I have swung back into Celtic Rites, the new book (there is a blog about that too called A Head Full Of Music I think, and that is coming along nicely. I am surprising myself be cause I still don't know exactly how it's going to end, and I can't wait to see what happens to the residents of Sollop-the moor.

Whatever it is it will be fun, funny and heartwarming.
