Sorry to bug you folks, but I've done it again (but I'll clean it up later)!

I really did intend to get some work done on the book today. However, a song crept up on me while I wasn't looking and....yup, it abused me to write itself. It's starting to become a real pain in the Arthur Scargill.

So, this one started out with a nice lyric and quickly plunged into a song about embracing death. Yeah, I know, I thought it was a tad morbid too. But, it isn't really. It sounds quite sweet in a way

Anyway, give it a listen and, of course, comment and let me know what you think.

As usual, LIKE, SHARE, SUBSCRIBE if you like what I do. You don't have to like every song.

No video to this one. Took me all day to do and I'm knackered now!

I Might put it up with another one of my pictures. Possibly part 2 of The Million Nightmare Manuscript (also available as a spiffing poster).

Have a happy Sunday. Be productive, be good and be content.

OBLIVION

Copyright R. Stevens 2021

It's so like you to do what you do.

What would I be without you, my dear.

These tiered hands that molded the world are blistered and torn from my deeds.

We were born to be lost on this baron sea and dragged to the depths of uncertainty.

You'll take my hand as nations fall to sand and melt in warm impermanencey.

The banquet is set, one last meal before death.

Sharing his fruits, I'll forget what I've been.

Sipping his wine, the last sweet drops of time dance on my tongue as his hand touches mine.

I'll fall into sleep taking with me all the dreams that I held so desperately.

And finally free from life's savagery I'll rest in your arms for eternity.

And silence will reign as my desperate brain fights to retain all the fear of the loss.

And there you will be my last sweet memory.

You'll stand by the sea to take me across.

I will into you and your love will take me through. Then in love we'll go on and on.

As darkness descends and my dazed confusion ends I'll embrace oblivion.

Oblivion.

Oblivion.

Oblivion.
