Hello again folks.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the "How we make a video" video.

This one is the outtakes video. All of the cock-ups and bloopers.

After this is finished I will start on the actual music video, in fact I already have, but there is a hell of a way to go.

It was a fun but really long day. We got there pretty early, bu the place is very popular, especially when the sun is out (and it was) so it didn't take long for it to start to fill up. This means that there were lots of people around. We had to be careful when filming not to get people in the shots. This probably didn't work out all of the time. You can see some of this in the outtakes video. It meant hanging around for ages for people to move out of the shots.

The most aggravating thing is as soon as people realise you are filming something they stand around and gaff. They don't give a toss if they are in shot or not. Others will deliberately walk through the shot (and it really is deliberate- you can tell). Lots of people will try their best to get out of the way and say sorry (which is nice).

On the this day for example, there was a group doing modelling shots on the top of the blast furnace. We tried our best to keep out of their way and they tires to keep out of ours, but normal visitors are just bloody minded sometimes. A prime example is the gentleman (I use the term loosely) who rides past on the bike. He had plenty of other options to ride around and he knew we were filming, but he couldn't resist riding right in front of the camera. All of this costs time, so it's a real pain in the arse. But what are you going to do. Sometimes it's just better to move to another location.

Anther frustrating thing is what I call "the box of books effect".

If you are at a jumble sale and you find a stand with a box of old books and there is no one there, but you start to look through the box of books, I guarantee that within no time at all, that box of books will become the most interesting item at the entire jumble sale.

It's the same with filming. You start to film somewhere because it's nice and quiet. As soon as you do a crowd will gradually appear until it is too full to film.

As soon as you go- it empties.

That's the stuff you don't get to see in the video and the reason for making an outtakes video. These things are sometimes funny, often frustrating or annoying, but that's the way it is.

There are also the glitches and funny moments- like Naomi taking a dive in this one. She wasn't hurt too badly. She scraped her hands pretty nastily though.

Or the shot of me hanging from the blast furnace at a height of stupid feet just to get a shot of my legs dangling for the jump sequence. The things you do for art!!

Anyway- we hope you enjoy the outtakes.

As always- LIKE, SHARE, SUBSCRIBE and COMMENT to help us out.
