Update on stuff

Just before I begin, I am aware that there are only one or two people who actually follow this and are in any way interested in what I am doing. To those I say thank you.
I use this sort of like a diary to record the stuff I've been doing. It will be of interest maybe to Naomi one day, remembering her dad and the stuff we did together.
I don't take this all that seriously.
If, along the way, it helps, inspires or interests anyone else, that is great.
Time, as I used to say to Naomi (much to her dismay) and still do, is something you make. Since Trish has gone, this has become all the more apparent to me. So, I use the time I have the best way I can. I cannot abide wasting time. If I want to do something I do it. I try, if it is possible, not to put something off, but to get it done. This goes for daily routines and creative projects. There are things that you cannot force, you just have to wait until the time is right, but everything else is in your hands.
So, it is Saturday today (6th March 2021) and I really wanted to get back into my routine of training calisthenics on the bars (on a playground about 1 km form home). So, I got up at 7, had some cornflakes, did a half an hour of pranayama and then skateboarded out to the bars. There I did my series of sets which takes about an hour to an hour and a half. It was freezing cold. The bars were full of ice, so that my fingers were going numb.
Yes, I stand there sometimes and think "what the fuck are you doing? Just go home." But then I hear David Goggins in my head (if you don't know him then Google him) and that makes me stay and do the thing I have chosen to do. Anyway, I came home and did my 30 mins of meditation and then had breakfast.
After that I will start writing or working on music I have already started or whatever.
This morning it was working on another track which I had started yesterday after work. It has no lyrics as yet, but they will come eventually. If they don't then the track will be left until the lyrics are "delivered". If the lyrics are never delivered the track will die a death. But that's ok because new stuff is always coming in.
This is one of two new tracks that are taking shape. The other is even rougher. Naomi is chucking some lyrics down and I'll be doing the same when I have gotten other stuff out of the way first. Both tracks depart from any particular style, as usual. I don't think I have a style, I just do the thing that calls for my attention at the time. This is why the tracks are all so different. I was asked recently what kind of music I did. I didn't know what to say. The styles vary so much and I am not interested in following any one or trying to stick to one style. It is what it is.
The track and video Bittersweet will be coming eventually, I promise. It's just a pain in the bum at the moment because I really want rain or at least a wet ground for the video and it's been cold but sunny. I may just end up giving in to nature and doing what I can with he elements as they are.

The book is coming on in dribs and drabs; a sentence here, a paragraph there. I know where I want the story to go (roughly) but there are many sub-plots and they have to be tied together well.
I can't do everything at once, so this means that some things are neglected until I have the impetus or can "make" the time. This is why there have been no new posts to the channel Conitatione Arbore (link below), although a conversation recently gave me an idea that I would quite like to ramble about.
So, stuff is being done bit by bit, and sooner or later something will be uploaded.
In the meantime, I have also received another poster from the company that does my prints. It looks great. I am very happy with their prints.
The prints are available on the Art and Illustration page of the website and I am thinking of putting them on Ebay too (as limited editions possibly). The posters are those used in the videos to the tracks Kingdom Come and Oblivion. There is still one completed part 3 of the piece, so that may appear in the video to one of the tracks that are now being done.
Of course, the books Heaven on Earth and The Devil's Workshop are available too (on the books page) on Amazon. Thank you to those who have bought a copy. I hope you enjoy them. They aren't that expensive. I have made them as cheap as Amazon would allow so that they are affordable. I ain't going to be a best selling author or get rich from this stuff. That is not the purpose. The purpose is to fulfill a need in myself and to give others pleasure along the way. That's it. That's the whole deal.
Have a very splendid weekend. Be creative and be content.
Lots of love Rob
